Julia Gillard is annoyed that Kristina Keneally is reneging on a deal brokered between all the States and the Commonwealth about creating uniform OHS rules for all Australian jurisdictions. She’s so steamed up that she’s written a strongly worded letter, and we all know how effective it can be to send one of those to your local MP.

Apparently, Keneally wants an exemption for NSW Government projects – they want to give special working conditions for workers, so long as projects are completed on time and on budget. My question is simple. Why does that matter? This is NSW, it is inconceivable that projects would ever be completed on time, or on budget or even completed at all. The question simply never arises for consideration.

Yet another sad example of a media beat-up on, trying to create a dispute that cannot possibly exist. =P
